New Dog Introductions
We prioritize a safe and positive experience for every dog. New dogs are introduced gradually, starting with 1–2 calm, compatible dogs. Introductions occur in a controlled setting to assess behavior. If there is no sign of aggression or excessive fear, the new dog is slowly integrated into larger play groups. Temperament evaluations help ensure everyone plays well together.
Small vs. Large Dogs
We welcome dogs of all sizes and have successfully mixed small and large breeds. Play groups are carefully monitored, and no aggression is tolerated. Dogs that get along well are grouped together regardless of size. If needed, we separate groups by size, play style, or energy level to keep play safe and enjoyable for all.
Daily Routine
Our structured schedule helps dogs feel secure and get plenty of rest:
• Morning: Breakfast (for boarding dogs) followed by group or solo outdoor playtime.
• Midday: Rest period from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM in a quiet, comfortable area.
• Afternoon: Additional outdoor play and enrichment activities.
• Evening: Dinner (for boarding dogs), followed by a final potty break around 8:30 PM.
• Lights out: Overnight rest in clean, cozy kennels or suites.
Injuries
Play is closely supervised by trained staff to minimize risks. Minor scrapes or nicks can occasionally occur during normal rough-and-tumble play. We clean and monitor any minor issues immediately. In the rare event of a more serious injury, we contact the owner right away and seek veterinary care if necessary (using the vet on file provided by you).
Illness / Kennel Cough
We take health seriously to reduce illness risk:
• Strict vaccination requirements.
• Daily deep cleaning and sanitation.
If a dog shows signs of illness, we provide immediate attention and isolate as needed. Kennel cough (bordetella) can still occur even in vaccinated dogs, though cases are usually milder and less severe. We follow best practices to minimize spread.
Late Daycare Pickup
We understand life happens! If your dog is not picked up by closing time, we will attempt to contact you. If we cannot reach you, your dog will stay overnight in a comfortable kennel with meals and potty breaks provided. Standard overnight boarding rates apply in these cases.
Benefits of Daycare
Daycare is excellent for socialization, mental stimulation, and burning off energy in a safe, supervised environment. Every dog undergoes temperament testing before joining group play. Most dogs go home happy, tired, and well-exercised—often sleeping soundly after a full day of fun!
Puppy Age Minimum
• Boarding: Puppies must be at least 8 weeks old and have received at least 2 rounds of DHPP vaccinations plus bordetella (kennel cough).
• Daycare: We recommend 12 weeks or older for the best experience, though younger puppies may be considered with proper vaccinations and temperament evaluation.
